Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookies

Jan 18, 2012 by

I wanted to post the recipe for these cookies for a few days now but alas, I’m slightly behind in my posting. I’m so happy to share this with you though, as these are my husband’s favourite cookies. I kinda love them too. I promised him I’d make a batch this week so me posting is great timing. I love the simplicity, and also that I’m using  low-fat peanut butter, less sugar than what the original recipe called for plus I used dark chocolate chips. Sounds like some good stuff right? You can substitute peanut butter for the organic kind. I plan to use vegan dark chocolate peanut butter to see how it comes out. I may omit the chocolate chips to avoid overkill. We’ll see!

This recipe is adapted from Everyday Food.

These cookies look amazing! How can you go wrong – peanut butter and chocolate! Are these cookies soft and chewy or hard and crispy? I’m one of those people who prefer soft and chewy cookies. But will eat both! I think that is my problem. LOL.

    • A perfect match, Kerri. These cookies are soft and chewy. The Ginger Molasses Cookies were hard and crispy. I love them both, no preference! Actually, the only preference is that they are home made, and not store bought!!! lol 🙂 Thanks for showing some love!!!

    • It’s definitely a crowd pleaser, Shannon! Don’t worry, these are cookies that usually vanish into thin air shortly after they are baked 🙂 The weekend is great so far. Thank you so much for visiting and commenting, Shannon! Take care and hope to see you again soon.

  7. I love this recipe for the fact that it uses low fat peanut butter. Now, do you know if you could use an alternative to peanut butter? Funny, I was just looking for a cookie recipe that could use raisins and oranges.
It’s great to connect via Tina at Pinay in Texas Cooking.

    • Hello Barbara! What do you mean an alternative to peanut butter? As in a soy based version? I saw one at the grocery store today and wondered the same thing. Let me know if that is what you meant. Thank you so much for visiting and yes, so awesome to connect via Tina! 😀
